Call for Commentaries
In the closing of the September editorial, The Beat Goes On: Creative Collaboration as a Sustaining Practice, we have invited submissions of commentaries in response to or extending the ideas and themes of the editorial. We ask that those commentaries critically engage with the ideas, themes, and arguments raised in the editorial. They might offer alternative perspectives, surface and examine broader related issues, expand on key ideas, or highlight new directions forward for our field. Manuscripts should be no longer than 3,000 words, including references, must adhere to the journal’s submission guidelines, and will undergo de-identified review.
Supporting Novice MTE Scholars
We also want to remind the AMTE community that we are committed to supporting novice mathematics teacher educator scholars by providing opportunities to engage directly with the MTE editorial team through dedicated meetings and conversations. We welcome opportunities to engage with prospective authors to offer guidance and answer questions. Please reach out to us at mte@nctm.org.
Looking Ahead
The next issue, published in February 2026, will share the first articles from the Special Call: Supporting Teachers to Engage Traditionally Marginalized Learners. We are eager to share this important scholarship and look forward to continuing these conversations at the 2026 Conference.
