New AMTE Vice Presidents Named

We are excited to announce that AMTE has named two new Vice Presidents who will begin their 3-year terms at the 2022 Annual Conference. Between now and the conference, both will shadow the current VPs of their divisions.

Joel Amidon of the University of Mississippi has been named the new VP for Communications and Outreach. Joel has previously served as AMTE’s AVP for Marketing and co-hosts the Teaching Math Teaching podcast. He will replace Dusty Jones.

Crystal Kalinec-Craig of the University of Texas at San Antonio has been named the new VP for Advocacy, Equity and Outreach. She is currently serving as AMTE’s co-AVP for the Equity Committee. She will replace Sarah van Ingen Lauer.

Congratulations to both Joel and Crystal, and many thanks to Dusty and Sarah for their service as VPs of AMTE.
