Nominations sought for Executive Director of AMTE
The AMTE Board of Directors is seeking nominations for candidates for the next Executive Director of AMTE. At the conclusion of the 2014 AMTE Annual Conference Nadine Bezuk will step down as Executive Director (ED) of AMTE. Dr. Bezuk has served as Executive Director for 10 years and has helped establish the national reputation of AMTE.

2011 AMTE Elections Winners
Congratulations to

  • Fran Arbaugh, of Penn State University, who will be our new president-elect.
  • Stephen Pape, of University of Florida, who will be our new Board member-at-large.

Fran and Stephen will assume their new roles at the close of the 2012 AMTE Business Meeting on February 11, 2012. Thanks to our Nominations and Elections Committee, chaired by Christine Thomas, to all nominees, and to all members who voted.

2012 AMTE Award Winners
Congratulations to our two award winners!

  • Deborah Loewenberg Ball, of the University of Michigan has been selected as the 2012 AMTE Outstanding Mathematics Teacher Educator in the area of Teaching. Deborah will make a presentation related to her award at the 2012 AMTE conference.
  • Tim Boerst of the University of Michigan has been selected as the 2012 Early Career Award winner. Tim will present a session at the 2013 AMTE Conference.
