The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas (UNT), Denton, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics Education Research at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must have a Ph. D. in Mathematics Education or a Ph. D. in Mathematics with demonstrated expertise in Mathematics Education. All areas of mathematics education will be considered especially Ethnomathematics and Statistics Education. The appointment involves teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as active research, service, and grant activities. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and administer a Master's Program in Mathematics Education Research with an emphasis on being attractive to recent graduates and to current teachers furthering their education. This includes developing classroom and/or online courses in Mathematics Education Research at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate will have a well-defined research agenda in Mathematics Education Research and will engage with students, faculty, and staff along with local and regional education professionals.
