One of AMTE’s Long Term Goals is to provide resources and strategies for recruitment, retention, and diversification of the mathematics teacher educator pipeline. To this end, we have established community circles, introduced a reception for BIPOC scholars at our Annual Conference, developed a mentorship program for early career BIPOC faculty, and are working to establish a diverse leadership pipeline. To study progress towards meeting this goal, the board would like to expand the demographic data we collect to include information about the race and ethnicity of our members. We would appreciate your response to the following question as we work to evaluate our efforts.
