Airport Shuttle Service:
Both conference hotels provide free shuttles to and from the airport. To request the shuttle, call your hotel from the courtesy phones in the baggage claim area. The person at the hotel will direct you to proceed to Ground Transportation Waiting Area, where the van will arrive. The van for the Renaissance is white with red lettering that says Renaissance Tampa. The van for the Marriott Westshore is red and white with black and red lettering that says Tampa Westshore Marriott.

Complimentary self-parking is available outside of Nieman Marcus. Valet parking is available for $6.00 per car per day while overnight parking is $12.00 per car per day .

Driving from the Tampa International Airport to the Hotels:
To the Renaissance Hotel:
Follow the airport exit signs. Take the SR-616 E / Spruce Street ramp. Continue on Spruce Street . Make a left turn at the second light, which is Westshore Boulevard and the entrance to the International Plaza Mall. Turn right toward Nieman Marcus and follow signs for the Renaissance. When you see the hotel on the left, make a left turn toward the hotel entrance. Complimentary self parking outside of Nieman Marcus is available. Valet parking is available for $6.00 per car per day while overnight parking is $12.00 per car .
To the Marriott Westshore Hotel:
Take the airport exit and stay in the right lane; the second exit is Spruce Street . Stay in the right lane and take Spruce Street exit. At the second light, make a right, go down two lights; the property is on the right side at Cypress Street .

From Bradenton :
Take I-75 North to I-275 North. Exit 40B (Old 22) Lois Avenue – right on Lois Avenue . Follow Lois Avenue approximately 1 mile directly into International Plaza .

Take 60 East and exit onto Spruce Street ( Tampa International Airport exit). Proceed to Westshore Boulevard – make a left into International Plaza .
From Land O'Lakes & Brooksville:
Take 589 South/Veterans Expressway. Exit on Spruce Street . Proceed to Westshore Boulevard – make a left into International Plaza .
From Ocala :
Take I-75 South to I-275 South, take Exit 40B (Old 22) Lois Avenue – right on Lois Avenue . Follow Lois Avenue approximately 1 mile directly into International Plaza .
From Orlando & Daytona:
Take I-4 West to I-275 South. Exit 40B (Old 22) Lois Avenue – right on Lois Avenue . Follow Lois Avenue approximately 1 mile directly into International Plaza .

From Brandon via Crosstown Expressway/toll road :
Take I-75 or Highway 301 to Leroy Selmon Crosstown Expressway and head west toward downtown Tampa (road under construction 2005). Exit downtown at Tampa/Kennedy Boulevard . Make a right on Ashley Street and enter I-275 North (left lane). Continue to exit #40A, Westshore Blvd. make a right at the exit, go about 50 feet past the first light, and make a right into the property.
From Brandon via Interstates/non-toll road:
Take I-75 North from Brandon area, take I-4 west, heading toward Tampa . I-4 will join up with I-275 at downtown Tampa (careful) and continue about 7 miles past downtown to exit #40A at Westshore Blvd. Make a right at the exit, go about 50 feet past the first light, and make a right into the property.
From: Jacksonville:
Take I-95 South to I-4 West heading toward Tampa . I-4 will join up with I-275 at downtown Tampa where you take exit #40A, Westshore Blvd. Make a right at the exit, go about 50 feet past the first light, and make a right into the property.
From: Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Key West and Southeast Florida:
Take I-95 North, to I-75 North/Naples direction. Follow signs to I-275 North and exit at #39B Airport/Cypress St. , bear left and make a right onto Cypress. The property is on the corner of Cypress and Westshore.
From: Naples/Ft. Myers/Sarasota/Bradenton and Southwest Florida:
Take I-75 North to I-275 North and exit at #39B Airport/Cypress exit, bear left and make a right onto Cypress ; we are on the north east corner of Westshore.
From: New Port Richey/Clearwater/North Pinellas County:
Take US 19 South to SR 60, make a left and head east toward Tampa , and go over the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Follow SR 60 to right and stay in right, exit immediately at the Airport/Spruce St exit. Pass the airport exit and continue on as that road goes into Spruce Street . At the second light, make a right on Westshore Boulevard, gown down to second light and make a left onto Cypress and the property is on that corner.
From Orlando/Plant City/ Lakeland or areas west/northwest:
Take I-4 to Tampa (West) and carefully merge into I-275 South at downtown Tampa . Take I-275 for about 5 miles to Westshore Boulevard exit/40A. Make a right at the exit, go to the first light and make a right onto Cypress St. and a left into the hotel.
From: St. Petersburg:
Take I-275 North; go over the Howard Franklin Bridge to Tampa and take exit #39B Airport/Cypress Avenue . Bear left at the exit and make a right onto Cypress , and property is on the corner of Cypress and Westshore.
From: Tallahassee/Pensacola:
Take I-10 East to I-75 South about 100 miles; take I-275 South and exit at #40A, Westshore Blvd. Make a right at the exit, go about 50 feet past the first light, and make a right into the property.
Airport Shuttle to Hotels from the Tampa Airport

The Tampa Airport has two baggage claim areas, red and blue; each airline is assigned to one area. I went to the red baggage claim area to retrieve my luggage. I believe the same suggestions will apply to those of you arriving in the blue area. I hope you have safe travels and that the following is helpful to you as you arrive for the AMTE Annual Conference.
For the Renaissance Hotel:
While in the baggage claim area, I went to the courtesy phones and called the Tampa Renaissance International Plaza . I called 45 to reach the hotel but double check the number in case it has changed. The person at the hotel will direct you to walk toward one of the following: Red 1, Red 2, Blue 1, or Blue 2 with the heading Ground Transportation. In my visit, from the baggage carousels, I walked toward Red Door 2 for Ground Transportation, passing the car rental counters inside the building on my left. I walked out the door labeled Red 2 and saw a circular area for hotel vans, car rental vans and the Super Shuttle. There are a few benches in the area and a sign that reads, Ground Transportation Waiting Area. The hotel van is white with red lettering that says Renaissance Tampa.
For the Tampa Marriott Westshore Hotel:
While in the baggage claim area, go to the courtesy phones and call the Tampa Marriott Westshore Hotel. You will receive directions to walk toward one of the following: Red 1, Red 2, Blue 1, or Blue 2 with the heading Ground Transportation. Once you exit the door, you will see a circular area for hotel vans, car rental vans and the Super Shuttle. There are a few benches in the area and a sign that reads, Ground Transportation Waiting Area. The hotel van is red and white with black and red lettering that says Tampa Westshore Marriott. |
