MTE Editor and Editorial Panel!
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Margaret (Peg) Smith of the University of Pittsburgh as the first Editor and Melissa Boston of Duquesne University as the Associate Editor of the new journal, The Mathematics Teacher Educator (MTE), co-published by AMTE and NCTM. She will be assisted in this work by the Editorial Panel, comprised of representatives from AMTE and NCTM.
AMTE Representatives on the MTE Editorial Panel are Alfinio Flores, University of Delaware, Denise Spangler, University of Georgia, and Tad Watanabe, Kennesaw State University. NCTM Representatives on the MTE Editorial Panel are Tom Dick, Oregon State University, Diana Lambdin, Indiana University, and Rheta Rubenstein, University of Michigan-Dearborn.
The timeline includes issuing a call for manuscripts in Spring 2011 with the publication of the first issue of the journal in 2012. Updates will be posted on the AMTE website and shared via email. We look forward to the publication of this exciting new journal, and thank Peg and the Editorial Panel for their willingness to serve in this important endeavor.
