Position Announcement

The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for one tenure track position in mathematics education starting August 1, 2008. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications and experience but should be sufficient for an appointment at the associate or full professor level. A record of productivity strong enough to support participation as an advisor to students in a doctoral program is expected. Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity and service is expected for all positions. MTSU seeks candidates committed to using integrative technologies in teaching. Applicants must hold a terminal degree in mathematics education or mathematics with a focus in teaching and learning. A successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching at all levels as well as a strong research background.
