Applicants are invited to apply for a tenure-track position in mathematics education at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2007. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in mathematics education or mathematics, with experience in K-12 education. The salary is competitive. Applicants must possess a commitment to teaching, an active research program, the ability to teach a variety of courses (at both the undergraduate and graduate levels), some of which require the use of educational technology, and an interest in seeking outside funds.

The Department of Mathematics (http://www.towson.edu/math) offers bachelor’s degree programs in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, actuarial science and risk management, and mathematics education. Master’s degree programs are offered in applied and industrial mathematics, and mathematics education.
