Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education
Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, starting Fall 2007. Successful candidates should have completed a doctorate in mathematics education by August 2007. Other doctorate holding candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications in mathematics education may be considered. Commitment to and evidence of success in teaching and research are also required. A highly qualified candidate will present evidence of pre-college teaching experience, designing and teaching inquiry-based mathematics courses, or work with in-service teachers. Other desirable qualities include experience teaching content courses for early, middle or secondary school teachers.
