Position: Assistant
Professor of Middle Grades Education (Tenure-Track) [Focus: Open]
Georgia Southern
University, a member institution of the University System of Georgia, is the
largest and most comprehensive center of higher education in the southern half

Required Qualifications:
·
An earned
doctorate in Middle Grades, Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field
by date of appointment
·
A minimum of
three years teaching experience in grades 4 - 8
·
Demonstrated
potential for scholarship in the discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
·
Supervision of
field-based experiences
·
Experience
working with a diverse student body
·
Experience using
technology in instruction
Responsibilities:
·
Teach
undergraduate and graduate level courses in middle level education and
subject-specific methods courses
·
Advise graduate
students
·
Supervise
field-based experiences working in partnership with local schools
·
Producing
scholarship within the discipline
·
Maintaining
active involvement in professional middle level organizations
·
Some off-campus
teaching may be required
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
