Mathematics Education – Assistant or Associate Professor

 

The successful candidate will conduct scholarly research leading to publication; teach and advise graduate students; help develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with professionals in schools and/or community agencies; participate in an interdisciplinary team committed to effective teacher education; and solicit external funding in collaboration with colleagues.

 

Required Qualifications:  PhD or ABD in mathematics education or mathematics with an education focus or a closely related field, before first date of employment; demonstrated record of scholarly potential; two or more years teaching experience with K-16 students.

 

Highly Desired Qualifications:  Demonstrated ability to work with teachers to develop the mathematics thinking of underserved students, work with diverse populations, use technology in teacher education; interest in distance education; involvement in collaborative relationships with K-16 schools, university peers, and/or community agencies; expertise in learning theories, curriculum and instruction, or research methods.
