Conference Information
The Twelfth Annual Conference of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE) will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from Thursday, January 24, through Saturday, January 26, 2008. Conference sessions will begin after lunch on Thursday afternoon, January 24, 2008. The Opening Session will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday evening, followed by a light reception at 8:30 pm.
The conference will be held at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center.
The deadline for the special room rates at the AMTE conference hotel has
passed. If you still need to reserve a hotel room for the January 24-26,
2008 AMTE conference in Tulsa, there are two options.
Option 1
The Residence Inn - South is less than 1 mile from the conference hotel.
This hotel may have rooms available during the dates of the conference. We
are working on arrangements to provide transportation between these two
hotels in the morning and in the evening over the dates of the conference.
If you make a reservation for the Residence Inn during the AMTE conference
and you will need transportation to the Renaissance, please contact Susan
Gay, AMTE Conference Coordinator, via email at sgay@ku.edu to notify her
about your stay so she will know how many folks will need the shuttle.

Option 2
Since a few cancellations at the Renaissance Hotel are likely to occur prior
to the conference, you can check with the Renaissance Hotel at a time closer
to the conference dates to see if rooms have become available at the AMTE
conference rate

Registration for the conference is now closed.
Conference Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your conference registration, you may request a partial refund using the following refund schedule:
- Prior to Registration deadline: $25 processing fee
- Between Registration deadline and Late Registration deadline: $50 processing fee
- After Late Registration deadline: no refund can be given
Please note that your request for a refund must be received in writing (email
or fax to Nadine Bezuk) by the close of business (PST) on January 14, 2008. After
this date, no refunds can be given. This policy is necessary to cover
commitments to the hotel and other conference-related expenses.
Please allow four
to six weeks for your refund to be processed.
